One statewide circuit-court portal. The case-search landing labels the WCCA card Circuit Court. The agreement says summaries are public records entered by county court staff into the circuit court case management system. FAQ 2a says criminal, civil including evictions, traffic, family, and most other non-confidential case types generally appear. The counties-on-ccap table lists 72 county rows, including Rock-Janesville. The county combobox opened to 73 entries beginning Statewide, Adams, Ashland, Barron, Bayfield, Brown, Buffalo, Burnett, and including Milwaukee. How far back records go differs by county because each county started CCAP at a different time and decided what old cases to convert.
- Confidential records named on the agreement: adoptions, juvenile delinquency, child protection, termination of parental rights, guardianship, and civil commitments
- Policy also withholds juvenile court records, guardianship proceedings, expunged convictions, the day of birth on non-criminal cases, driver license numbers in traffic cases, and additional text entered before July 1, 2001
- FAQ 2b: some older cases were never converted; expunged, sealed, and shortened-display dismissed or acquitted cases may be absent online while the clerk still holds the file
- FAQ 2e: bankruptcy is federal and is not on WCCA
