The Virginia courts case-status page describes one statewide Online Case Information System for adult criminal cases in juvenile and domestic relations district courts, criminal and traffic cases in general district courts, and select circuit courts. It says payments cannot be made in that system. Circuit court information on OCIS is provided with the consent of participating circuit court clerks, so the circuit layer is not every circuit court. A browser open of the landing page on 2026-10-01 showed the OCIS 2.0 terms and Accept and Decline buttons. The search form is behind Accept. The terms forbid automated scripting, so Accept was not clicked and no name was submitted.
- Not every circuit court. The courts page says select circuit courts, and the terms say circuit information is shown with the consent of participating clerks.
- Juvenile case information other than adult criminal cases in juvenile and domestic relations district courts is not described as included.
- The landing page says this system cannot process online payments.
- Case information is current only to the extent clerks have entered it.
