One MiCOURT portal. The terms say the display does not replace the official record on file with the court. Search is by one selected court, not a single statewide name box. The opened form for 88-1 District Court, Alpena County, had Name, Case Number, and Professional Number searches. Name fields were last name or business (required), first, middle, and birth year. The Search button stayed disabled until text was entered. No name or case number was submitted. A Wayne County filter showed district-court and municipal-court rows, including the 36th District Court. That capture was not a full court census and did not include a circuit or probate row, which is not a finding that those courts are absent. Case types that will not be displayed are listed on the form, including personal protection orders and juvenile matters.
- Adoption, delayed registration of foreign birth, judicial admissions, juvenile and child protective proceedings, juvenile guardianships, mental illness, name changes, parental waivers, personal protection orders, surrendered newborn child, treatment of infectious disease, violation of personal protection orders, extreme risk protection orders, young adult voluntary foster care, and wills are not displayed
- Courts marked with the 7-year criminal sentence filter do not show older criminal-sentence information on MiCOURT
- Not a criminal-history check
- Appellate opinions are a different page on courts.michigan.gov
