Kansas directory

Kansas official directory

We'll help you find the correct official place in Kansas. You do not need to understand court terminology. A missing search does not mean there is no case or that someone is not in jail.

Kansas coverage is limited. Recorded directory links and guidance appear when supported. A missing search button does not mean there is no case or that someone is not in jail. CaseGo has not searched a person’s record.

Where did this happen?

Enter a city and state, ZIP code, county, or address if known. A full address is not required. This page lists Kansas sources.

CaseGo helps you reach official sources. It has not searched a person’s record.

Why am I seeing this?

CaseGo routes you to official websites. It does not search inmate, warrant, or court records for a person inside this product yet.

Kansas counties

County pages reuse statewide portals and contact records. Counties are not individually verified.

Opening a link is not a search. Available actions depend on what CaseGo has recorded and authorized to publish.

One statewide district-court portal, referred from the Kansas Judicial Branch district-court records page. The empty form, after Accept, showed court set to District, search types Case Number, Party Name, Business Name, Party As Business Name, and Citation Number, a search-term box, a county list, and additional filters for case category (Criminal, Civil, Family, Probate or Mental Health), date of birth, and file-date from/to. The how-to PDF says all Kansas counties are on the Kansas eCourt case management system and that a case number or name is required. Case information can be searched; documents are described as available only after a court begins operating on that system. The portal page says information is general reference and that additional details may be viewed at a courthouse terminal. This is not a tested result set. It is not the official court record. It is not copied onto each county.

    • Portal information is not the official court record
    • Sealed cases and sealed records are not public and are not on the courthouse terminal
    • How-to PDF case types not on public CaseSearch include adoption, protection from abuse, protection from stalking, child in need of care categories, grand jury, inquisitions, search warrant, and several other listed types

    Source details

The locating-a-resident page says KASPER is on the KDOC website and is updated daily excluding weekends. It says KASPER contains offenders sentenced to the custody of the Secretary of Corrections since 1980, including people currently incarcerated, under post-incarceration supervision, and discharged from a sentence. It names parole, conditional release, post-release supervision, and compact probation or parole as supervision statuses a record may show. It excludes inmates sent to Kansas under the interstate compact. The disclaimer says the site reflects persons and cases associated with programs funded through or operated by KDOC, and that it is not all involvement with the Kansas criminal justice system. It also says community-corrections probation events after April 21, 2021 cannot be displayed. The locating page does not mention county jail. County jail scope is unresolved, not treated as included and not treated as an explicit exclusion. The KDOC homepage link KASPER Offender Search goes to the disclaimer, and Agree opens https://kdocrepository.doc.ks.gov/kasper/. The mail FAQ still links www.doc.ks.gov/kasper, which returned 404. That stale path was not chosen over the homepage link.

    • Inmates sent to Kansas under the interstate compact are not in KASPER
    • Not a complete criminal history; the disclaimer points to the KBI record search
    • Community-corrections probation events after April 21, 2021 are not displayed
    • County jail is unresolved because the locating page is silent

The KDOC visitation page is for visiting a resident in a KDOC facility.

Login required · Hours vary by facility. The page says to use the online schedule. Facility-specific handbooks were not all opened. · Not a county jail

    Source details

The KDOC visitation page is for visiting a resident in a KDOC facility. Visitors must be on the resident's pre-approved list. In-person visits are scheduled on www.icsolutions.com or through the facility visitation clerk, and scheduling closes 72 hours before visitation begins that week. The page states four visitors per resident and two slots per day at each adult facility. The clerk list names El Dorado, Oswego, Ellsworth, Hutchinson, Lansing, Larned, Norton, Stockton, Topeka, Winfield, Wichita, and the Kansas Juvenile Correctional Complex. The adult mailing-address index fetched separately did not repeat Oswego or Stockton; that difference was not resolved. This page is state custody guidance. It is not a county-jail visiting rule and it is not a locator.

KDOC mail pages say residents may receive letters and photographs, that non-legal mail may be inspected, and that the envelope must include the resident's full name and KDOC number plus the sender's name and address. The FAQ says location comes from KASPER and then the facility mailing address. It links KASPER at www.doc.ks.gov/kasper, which returned 404. The working KASPER path is the homepage repository link recorded on ks-kasper. Facility mailing addresses were fetched at https://www.doc.ks.gov/facilities/index for the adult facilities listed there. This is state-facility mail guidance. It does not say county jails use these addresses.

The district-records page says each court has a computer reserved for public searches of case information and court records in that court. The same page says sealed cases and sealed records are not public and cannot be accessed through the courthouse terminal. Rule 22 says each district court and the appellate courts must maintain a courthouse terminal, and that cases and documents withheld from the portal may still be accessible at that terminal. The appellate records page says a terminal in the Kansas Judicial Center is reserved for appellate case information and court records. This is a contact and terminal fallback. It is not a finding that no case exists.

The district-courts page is the Judicial Branch directory of trial courts. The district-records page links District court contacts to this page and also publishes the 31 judicial-district headings with their county lists. Each district heading links to a district page under /About-the-Courts/District-Courts/Districts/. Those 31 district pages were not opened one by one, so clerk phone numbers were not collected. K.S.A. 22-2802, as published by the Kansas Revisor of Statutes, is the pretrial release statute for a person charged with a crime. At first appearance the magistrate orders release pending preliminary examination or trial on an appearance bond in an amount the magistrate sets to assure appearance and public safety. If the person is bound over for a felony, the bond is also conditioned on appearance in district court. Unless the magistrate finds otherwise, a person felony or person misdemeanor bond prohibits contact with the alleged victim for at least 72 hours. The magistrate may add the conditions listed in subsection (a), including designated custody, travel or residence limits, return to custody during specified hours, house arrest under K.S.A. 21-6609, or court-services supervision. Subsection (c) is a surety bond. Subsection (d) is a full cash deposit in lieu of sureties, with a refund after deductions if the person appears. Subsection (e) allows a 10 percent cash deposit only when the bond is $2,500 or less, the most serious charge is one of the charge classes named there, and the person meets every listed qualification. Subsection (f) allows release on the person's own recognizance in the court's discretion. Subsection (g) says the court shall not impose any administrative fee. Subsection (p) sets a separate minimum of at least $750,000 cash or surety, no-contact, and house arrest when the charge is one of the listed sex offenses and the magistrate finds a prior sexually violent crime. The statute page history line includes L. 2025, ch. 120, § 6. The revisor page did not link a Kansas Supreme Court rule. No rule was added from another state's bond practice. This text does not say what amount a magistrate will set and it does not predict release.

    • Not a release prediction and not a bond calculator
    • Subsection (e) 10 percent deposit is not available for every charge or every person
    • Subsection (p) is a specific prior-offense minimum, not a general bond amount
