Delaware directory

Delaware official directory

We'll help you find the correct official place in Delaware. You do not need to understand court terminology. A missing search does not mean there is no case or that someone is not in jail.

Delaware coverage is limited. Recorded directory links and guidance appear when supported. A missing search button does not mean there is no case or that someone is not in jail. CaseGo has not searched a person’s record.

Where did this happen?

Enter a city and state, ZIP code, county, or address if known. A full address is not required. This page lists Delaware sources.

CaseGo helps you reach official sources. It has not searched a person’s record.

Why am I seeing this?

CaseGo routes you to official websites. It does not search inmate, warrant, or court records for a person inside this product yet.

The department home page says it is a unified system. All correctional facilities and institutions are under the State. Level V is 24-hour incarceration, and the page says jail describes offenders serving one year or less. Level IV is work release, home confinement, residential drug treatment, and violation-of-probation centers. Levels III through I are probation supervision. The page does not describe a county-operated jail. A county name does not select a different custody system.

The Locate an Inmate page links https://www.vinelink.com/#state-selection and says to click the state where you wish to search. It also says a release date can change because of good-time forfeiture, a later work-release or probation level, or a hold from another jurisdiction. The family handbook gives https://vinelink.vineapps.com/state/DE and says a search can use a name or an SBI number. That Delaware form was not opened. No name was submitted. This is a notification and status service, not a completed search.

The department family handbook's checklist for an arrest says to use the Delaware VINE page to find the facility, to use courts.delaware.gov for charges and court contacts, and that bail is posted through the court. It also says a person must sign a form before someone else picks up property. The visit page, read separately, says scheduling requires the SBI number or date of birth. No visit was scheduled.

The Justice of the Peace defendant page describes the initial appearance, arraignment, and transfer. Cases the Justice of the Peace Court cannot hear go on for bail and a date in the Court of Common Pleas or Family Court, or a preliminary hearing in the Court of Common Pleas when the case will be in the Superior Court. The page says conditions can include no contact, a psychiatric examination, and limits on travel, alcohol, or drugs. It says failing those conditions can forfeit bail and can be a separate crime. This is general information for that court. It does not say what will happen in a particular case.

Delaware Code title 11, section 2104, labeled effective until February 1, 2027, lists four conditions-of-release bonds for a non-capital charge and says the court chooses which one. Section 2105, for the same period, says the court shall use an unsecured bond when it is satisfied about appearance and community safety. The courts' rules index still lists the February 28, 2022 order, corrected March 22, 2022, adopting the special rule effective April 4, 2022, and it does not list a later order replacing that rule. Superior Court criminal rules are marked as a 2026 edition with no amendments listed. The 2022 order is not treated as newer than the code. A different section 2104 text is published for February 1, 2027 and is not applied on this check date. No dollar amount is in section 2104.
